Forum participates in three UN conferences on Iraq

Three mini-conferences held by the United Nations Assistance Mission for Iraq (UNAMI) included Forum participation. The first event, 'Oil and Gas Revenue Sharing,' was held April 4-6, 2006 on the shores of the Dead Sea and was co-chaired by Forum president George Anderson. Marc Lemieux, together with subject matter experts Paul Boothe, former Deputy Finance Minister of Saskatchewan, and Roland Priddle also represented the Forum.

The same Dead Sea conference venue also saw Forum fiscal expert Paul Boothe deliver several presentations at a UN conference on Fiscal Federalism May 16-18, 2006.

In Madrid, Spain, Prof. David Cameron made presentations on the constitutional allocation of powers at the federal and regional level June 12-13, 2006. At a third UN conference on fiscal federalism he addressed the subject of federal arrangements in the new Iraqi constitution.
