Forum President speaks in Australia on co-operative federalism

Forum President George Anderson was a guest speaker at the Australian and New Zealand School of Government’s Annual Conference, which tackled the topic of federalism this year. Mr Anderson offered his insights on models of co-operative federalism and what lessons Australia can learn from them. Some of the keynote presentations were made by John Brumby, MP, Premier of Victoria State; Mike Rann, MP Premier of South Australia; and Wayne Swan, MP, Australia’s Federal Treasurer. The event was also attended by other senior officials from all orders of government in Australia as well as leading academics. The event was held in Melbourne September 11-12, 2008.
